Frank Larry Valdez

It is with extreme sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Frank Larry Valdez of Edgewood NM on March 17,2022. Frank was born in Chama NM on June 22,1956 he grew up in Albuquerque and resided in Edgewood NM where he successfully built his propane business from the ground up Sunwest Alternative Fuels was his dream and became his legacy he helped so many throughout his life he had such a beautiful infectious smile anytime he entered a room he was always a friend to everyone around him, and he would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a fan of sports especially college basketball his teams were St Mary’s and Kansas J Hawks, he also was a fan of the boxer Alexis Arguello he loved country music and classic rock but more than anything he loved Jesus Christ and always kept him at the center of his life. Family was always a priority for him, our father showed us by example how to love your parents he was an amazing son to his parents they never had to question his heart. His siblings were his best friends he adored them and was always proud of them. Frank is preceded in death by his father Guillermo (Willie) Valdez and his mother Maria Sevilla (Mary) Santana as well as his brother Carlos Valdez, and survived by his step father Juan Santana, sister Eleanor Sanchez and brother in law Gabriel Sanchez, brother William (Billy) Valdez and sister in law Ginger Valdez, daughter Bernadette Valdez, daughter Maria Griffin and son in law Michael Griffin of North Carolina, son Alexis Valdez, son Billy Ray Valdez and daughter Randee Valdez, step daughters Theresa Saiz, Amber Lemon and step son Michael Lemon, Grandchildren David Valdez, Michael Valdez, Marquis Valdez, Nikki Melero, Sevilla Valdez, Joseph Ybarra, Marissa Ybarra, Melanie Ybarra, Abel Valdez, Eveana Valdez, Wilow Valdez and great grandsons Juan Valdez, Jeremiah Valdez and Julian Valdez our father adored his family his nieces, nephews cousins aunts and uncles and many more who may have not been mentioned. Pallbearers are Billy Ray Valdez, Michael Valdez, Marquis Valdez, Gabriel Sanchez JR, Rocky Sanchez and Herman Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers are David Valdez, Joseph Ybarra, Abel Valdez, Juan Valdez, Jeremiah Valdez, Julian Valdez and Fernando Valdez. A piece of our heart is gone today but as the Lord has promised our family chain will link together again as we all return to join our heavenly Father Service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 619 Copper Ave NW 87102 Friday March 25,2022 at 9am burial will follow after as well as a reception Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, New Mexico
