Frank Lucas Scott

Frank Lucas Scott, 74, of Edgewood, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023. Frank was a retired chemist from GCC Concrete Company. Frank was born into a large Italian family on July 29, 1948, and grew up in Lake Charles, LA. He was the son of Lloyd and Camille Scott. He was a 1966 graduate of LaGrange Sr. High School then was enlisted in the Air Force Reserves in 1968 after that he moved on to earning his B.S. degree in Micro-Biology in 1973 from McNeese State University. Frank went on to become a heart profusionist and worked several years under famous heart surgeons, Dr. DeBakey and Dr. Cooley. He is Survived by his wife of 44 years Cheri Lynn Scott his children Christopher Scott wife Sandy and Rachel Erwin Husband Dillon along with eight grandchildred. He will be dearly missed by his siblings Marilyn Dougherty husband Darrell, Ginger Hays husband Calvin, & Jeffery Scott wife Barbara. Frank was a generous, kind, and loving husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend. He was a christian man who spent his life praising god and touching the lives of everyone he met. His faith was the center of his life and he was a passionate musician and became an active member of his church band. Funeral services are as follows, Viewing Sat. April 8, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by his funeral at 11:00 am both at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Burial will follow at the Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, NM. Reception will follow at the Stanley community center. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
