Florence D. Shipman, 53 years old form Edgewood, NM, has left us to be with our lord and savior on Monday October 10th 2022. She was born on May 9th 1969 in Las Vegas, NM. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Nieves and Cipriana Lucero, Grandparents Rudolfo and Bersave Lopez. Her Mother in-law Emma E. Ortiz, her uncles Orlando Lucero, Richard Farmer, Rudy Lopez, Tony Lucero. Brother in-law Larry R. Encinias and James Dewayne Shipman. Her sister-law Connie A. Sanchez and Aunt Janice Lucero, and her step-son Dominic D. Shipman. She leaves behind her husband Joel Shipman of Moriarty NM. She is Survived by her parents Alfredo E Lopez of La Sacatosa NM, Prexy Gutierrez and Husband Ralph from Edgewood NM. Her Sister Antionette Lopez form Albuquerque NM. Her Alfredo K Lopez, and wife Erica K Lopez from Albuquerque NM. Her sister Camilla Lopez and Husband Adrian Lopez form Moriarty NM. Her Brother in-laws Robert V. Shipman and wife Ena Shipman from Battleground WA. Brother in-law Andy R. Encinias and Maryann Sanchez form Mora NM. William Dale Shipman and his wife from Troy MO. Her step-son Joel Shipman Jr. and wife Shelby Shipman. Grandkids Evan Xavier Shipman, and Emma Anne Shipman. Jaxson Wayland Shipman, and Weston Ryan Shipman, and their mom Reagan Rembold. Nephews Alyx Lopez, Alfredo Lopez, Abram Lopez and wife JD Lopez, Isaac Lopez, Shane and Nathaniel Shipman, Antonio Mora, Josh Brito. Nieces Meisha Lopez, Rosa Salas-Lopez and husband Daniel, Alejandra Salas, Kassi and Husband Michael Garcia, Ashley Lopez, Dominique and Husband Isiah Delarosa, Anadrea and Selena Shipman, and Adelita Encinias. Numerous Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Friends. She Graduated form Rio Grande High School in 1987. She proudly served in the US Navy for 8 years stationed in San Diego California. She went to school for closed captioning reporting and worked for 23 years. She got her bachelors, Masters and Doctrine Degree in Forensic Science. She was an amazing wife, sister, daughter, step-mom, Grandmother, and friend. She was always smiling and had a big heart. She will be missed dearly. She was loved by all who knew her. A viewing will be held on Friday October 21st 2022 at the Hanolon/Harris Mortuary in Moriarty NM from 5pm to 7pm. Then, Saturday October 22nd 2022 in Villanueva NM at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church, a viewing will be at 9am followed by a rosary at 9:30 and a mass at 10am. Cremation will follow, a reception will be at the community center afterwards.
