Ernest J. Lueras

Ernest J. Lueras, 88, passed away on March 20, 2020 in Corona, New Mexico. He was born on August 26, 1931 in Corona, NM to the late Emeliano and Estanita (Jaramillo) Lueras. Ernest was a lifetime resident of Corona, a Volunteer Firefighter and a member of the Corona School Board. He was also Mayor of Corona, a member of the Corona City Council and of the Knights of Columbus. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community. Ernest is also preceded in death by his brothers, Emiliano Lueras Jr. and DJ Lueras. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy Lueras; son, Ernest Daniel “Danny” Lueras and wife Margie and daughters, Gloria Lueras Kidd and husband Mike and Bessie Gage. Ernest was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
