Enid Yvonne Hoff Miller went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2019, near Corona, NM. She was born to Alfried and Pauline Kuschel Hoff on August 26, 1942 in Padang, Indonesia. In 1951, Enid’s family moved to Holland. She finished elementary school and graduated from high school in Amsterdam. She went on to the Teacher’s College in Amsterdam and graduated with a 4 year degree. In 1961, Enid and her family made the move to America, and boarded a train to New Mexico to meet their sponsor, Jim Miller, who became her future husband on November 29, 1962, in El Paso, TX. Enid and Jim operated the Mountain Gold Dairy until its closing in 2006, which was located 8 miles from Ancho, NM and was homesteaded by Jim’s parents in 1913. Enid is survived by her 9 children: Brenda(Nathan) Banks of North Richland Hills, TX; Linda(Brian) Henegar of Lubbock, TX; Cindy Whitlock of Ancho, NM; Joseph(Rhonda) Miller of Lubbock, TX; Matilda(Larry) Graves of Estancia, NM; Wanda(Clint) Henson of Raton, NM; James(Tomi) Miller of House, NM; Paul(Kimalee) Miller of Capitan, NM and Ronda Miller(Michael Jefferson) of Lubbock, TX; along with 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 9 brothers and sisters: Rolf Hoff of Holland, Astrid Hoff-Loper of Ohio, Frank Hoff of Utah, Peggy Hoff-Autin of Pennsylvania, Joyce Hoff-Sanchez of Colorado, Kinny Hoff-Chase of Iowa, Koenraad Hoff of Arizona, Andre Hoff of Iowa and Grace Hoff of Florida. Enid was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kitty Irene Hoff in 1941; her husband, Jim Miller in 2011 and a grandson, Jason Martin Miller in 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, January 4, 2020, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Carrizozo, NM with Mel Gnatkowski and Cal West officiating. Interment will follow at the Ancho Cemetery in Ancho, NM. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Matthew Banks, Jake Kinnick, Shawn Kinnick, Tyler Graves, Toby Henson, Kolten Miller, Kyler Miller, Robert Miller, Presten Miller and Jordan Jefferson. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Carissa Kinnick, Beki Reyes, Kaylee Miller, Hannah Lavender, Selina Montoya, Megan Miller and Mika Jefferson.
