Eleanora R Zamora

Eleanora “Nora” Zamora 1941-2023 Nora joined our Heavenly Father on November 30, 2023, with her husband Robert at her bed side. Born April 26, 1941, in Willard, New Mexico, Nora was the second of nine children born to Antonio and Florinda Chavez. She graduated from Estancia High School in 1960 where she met her future husband, Robert Zamora. They were married on June 15, 1963, and this year, celebrated 60 years of marriage. The family moved to Albuquerque in the 1960’s where she worked and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools. Alongside work she enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends. She loved spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids! Nora was a member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Altar Society where she displayed her unwavering devotion to her Catholic faith. Nora was the mother to four children; Ethan Zamora and Wife, Teresa; Eric Zamora and Wife, Volelle; Sandra Zamora, and Susan Martindale and Husband, Michael. She was a grandmother to twelve; Kortney, Kaitlyn, Kimber, Aaron and Wife Delcinnia; Mary, Ethan, Elias, Michael, Mark, Kristian, Jordan, and Justin. She was a great grandmother to five; Gabrielle, Sabrina, Charlotte, Elanora, and Laila. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ramona Herrera, Husband Gavino; Patsy Tenorio, Husband Anthony; and her brother Eutimio “Tootsie” Chavez. Services will be held on Thursday December 14, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard, NM. Viewing will begin at 9:30am with the recital of the Rosary at 10:00am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment immediately following at the Zamora Family Ranch in Willard, NM.
