Candy

A voice, a laugh—impossible to forget,

Echoes in our mind as we drown in deep regret.

Your heart, so pure, like a child’s gentle smile,

Yet nights spent partying with you were always so wild.

A bag full of candy, a treasure of sweets,

With open arms, you’d call all your nieces, nephews

to your seat.

Spontaneous strolls to the convenience store, cups of ice galore!

What we’d give for just one more.

We knew you were unwell, we saw the silent pain,

But we never believed God would call you so soon…this all seems so insane.

You prayed, you pleaded, with hands raised high,

Now you bask in His presence, far beyond the sky.

The memories we hold are worth more than gold,

Each moment with you, a story untold.

As we journey on this path called life, we feel your love abide,

Cheering us forward, Candy- our angel, our precious guide.

So, we send you off with love and thankfulness for all the memoires we shared & we know you’ll surely be making some Chile Rellenos when we finally get to be there.

Though you’re gone, we find comfort inside

It’s not goodbye, just “see you on the other side.”
