DUANE KEITH RICKERS, 60, of Albuquerque, New Mexico died on March 8, 2021. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana on July 25, 1960 to parents Donald Karl and Meva Caroline Rickers Sr. Duane was born with down syndrome, but he did not let that stop him from living life to the fullest. Duane never met a stranger; you immediately were his best friend. He enjoyed dancing, watching wrestling, football (preferably the Dallas Cowboys or whomever was winning), bowling, bocce ball, going to movies and eating out. He lived in the ARCA Residential Community Living for 30 years. The compassion and love that was shown to Duane over the years by ARCA and support staff was truly a blessing. Duane lived most of his life in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Duane was preceded in death by his dad and mom Donald Karl and Meva Caroline Rickers Sr., as well as his brothers Donald Karl Rickers, Jr., and David Kleiner Rickers; and a nephew Nikolus Andrew Medina. He is survived by his sisters Debra Kay Kelly and her husband Tim; Denise Karen Medina and her husband Jonathon; brother Douglas Kenneth Rickers and his wife Pam; Sister-in-law Mary Rickers; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at the Mountainair Cemetery. Duane was an incredibly special guy who will be missed by many. His spirit will continue to live on in those who loved him most.
