Doyle Dewayne Conner

On December 3, 2021 Doyle Dewayne Conner Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at the age of 87. Doyle was born on May 1, 1934 in Olney Texas to Ellis Elmer (Cap) and Sadie Conner. He married Mary Lou Crawford on May 6, 1956, and they raised 2 sons Dewayne and Mike. After Mary’s passing Doyle married Pat Taylor on April 24, 2010 and they were together until Pat passed earlier this year. He was lucky to have two families that loved him and he loved both of his families with all of his heart. He grew up on a farm and never really got it out of his system. His career was in the automotive field, and later in the hospitality industry, but his heart was in the land. After retiring he went back to farming and ranching. He was an accomplished horseman and loved being around horses and cattle. Whether he was on horseback moving cattle or driving a team of horses from a chuckwagon, that was where he wanted to be. Doyle was preceded in death by both Mary and Pat, his parents, his sister Erlene Bauch, his brother Fred Conner, his grandson Darrell Conner, his daughter-in-law Debbie Conner, his step daughter Karen Jones, and his good friend and cousin Jerry Clayton. A viewing will be held at the Harris-Hanlon funeral home in Moriarty, NM from 4-6pm on Thursday December 16th, 2021 and graveside service will be held on Friday December 17th at 10am at the Estancia, NM cemetery.
