Dorothy A Lightfoot Dorothy Lightfoot (Athleen) was united with her husband and children on January 12, 2021. Most of you know her as Granny or Nana. Dorothy was born in Woodland Texas on February 24, 1924 to George and Ollie Tacket. Dorothy went to school in Woodland till the eighth grade and then finished school in Detroit Texas. Here she met her soul mate Waymon and together moved to New Mexico in January 1943. Waymon and Dorothy would start their family in Harding county and lived there until after their last son was born for a few years. Then they moved to Lincoln County as Waymon worked on the Railroad and for El Paso Natural Gas, Dorothy worked as a housewife and took care of their four kids and other kids from the gas plant. In 1978 they move into town in Corona and lived there. Dorothy loved sitting out on the front porch and watching all the cars go by and she would tell you who each one was. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Waymon, daughter Dorothy Nell, three sons, Edward, George and Wayne, daughter in-law Karen, her parents, two sisters, a brother and grandson Richard.
