Doris Lavon Morris

Doris Lavon Morris, 92, passed away on March 27, 2020 in Edgewood, New Mexico. She was born on May 8, 1927 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Herman and Nellie Moseley. Doris was a longtime resident of New Mexico. She was a member of the Stanley Homemaker Club and a Board Member of the Stanley Union Church. Doris’s grandfather, George F. Mosely homesteaded in Edgewood, NM in October of 1907. Doris was Pioneer Stock from Estancia Valley. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Doris is also preceded in death by her husband, JC Morris and son, Joe C. Morris. Doris is survived by her sons, Gayland C. Morris and wife Karen, Michael D. Morris and wife Mayta, Patrick K. Morris and wife Connie and Billy F. Morris; brother, Orris H. Moseley; sister, Gwendelyn Van Doren; sister in law, Barbara Morris as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Doris was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A Private Family Burial at Stanley Cemetery has already taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
