Donna Earlene Zern

Donna Earlene Zern, 72, passed away on August 28, 2021 in Stanley, New Mexico. She was born on January 12, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Donald and Doris (Wallace) Rumsey. Donna spent most of her life her in New Mexico. On June 27, 1969 she married the love of her life, John Zern. Donna and John were like two peas in a pod. They loved to hunt, fish and take care of their many dogs thru the years. Donna lost her soul mate John in 2015. She still continued their shared hobbies but also could be found going after her own interests as well. She loved photography and watching football. Her granddaughters were her most passionate hobby. She absolutely adored spending time with them. They truly were the light of her life. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Zern; brother, Donald Rumsey Jr. and mother-in-law, Irene Zern. She is survived and will forever be remembered by her son, Jason Zern; brother, Danny Rumsey and wife Marlene; sisters, Debbie Rawlins and husband Mike and Elizabeth Zern and granddaughters, Aliyah and Chloe Zern. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
