Delfin Romero

ROMERO – Mr. Delfin Romero, born June 3, 1946, age 77, passed away unexpectedly at home in Manzano, NM, Thursday, May 23, 2024, and is now in Heaven and in the presence of Our Lord. Delfin was a lifelong resident, born and raised in Manzano, NM. He is a longtime member of the Torreon St. Joseph Society. Delfin worked for the City of Albuquerque and retired as a Union Ironworker in Los Alamos, NM. He was a rancher, farmer, devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin, and had many extended family and friends. He was loved by many and active in the Manzano and Torreon communities and churches. He is survived by his devoted loving wife, Dolores Romero, married 27 years; his four children: Jo’Anna & husband Sebastian Hernandez; Gloria & husband Julian Romero; Pat & wife Joanna Romero, Eloy Romero, and Dolores’ two sons: Patrick & wife Annette Trujillo and Peter & wife Angel Trujillo, brother Robert Romero & wife Elfie; sisters Lourdes Sedillo; Susan Christian; Christina Olinger & husband Jessie; sister in law Priscilla Romero. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Juan Romero, mother Maria Romero, brother's Eloy Romero, George Romero and Gabriel Romero, sister Anita Romero and granddaughter Shawnee Romero. Delfin is a longtime member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Manzano, NM, where visitation and viewing will be held May 31st, from 9:30 am until 10 with a Rosary recited by Guillermo Candelaria at 10. Immediately following is a mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 with Fr. Jordan Sanchez, Celebrant of the mass. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Romero, Patrick Romero Jr., Juan Romero, Herman Chavez, Lawrence Chavez, and Gerald Chavez. Honorary Pallbearer will be Eloy Romero Jr. Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM, is in charge of arrangements.
