Carolyn Jean Lopez, 67, passed away on June 25, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on July 18, 1952, to the late James Leroy of Dawson, NM and Carolyn Lopez (Zamora) of Cimmaron, NM. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Albert (Bruno) Lopez, and Peter Anthony Lopez; sisters Joann Albert and Frances Lopez and daughter-in-law Melissa Parsons- Lopez. Carolyn is survived by her lifetime partner, Arthur Mahboub; sons, Michael Lopez, Frankie Gabaldon, and Arthur Lopez; Daughter Emily Sanchez and husband Brian Sanchez; brother James Lopez and wife Arlene Lopez and granddaughters Angelique Lopez and Cassandra Quinones and husband Luis. Caroyln was blessed with 7 additional grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A graveside memorial will be her on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM, at 10:00 A.M. Pallbearers will be Isaiah Sanchez, Dominic Sanchez, Jerome Lopez- Silva, Matthew Lopez, Tremaine Roland and Luis Quinones, honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Sanchez, Isaac Brownridge and all her great grandchildren. Deacon Randy Rodriguez will officiate. Carolyn was a long-time resident of Torrance County, in 2007 she moved to Albuquerque, during her time in Torrance County she was one of the first employees to both Rip Griffins and CCA. Her passion was to provide care for people, so she decided to get her certification as a nurse assistant. She cared for all her patients as they were her own family. Throughout her life she helped raise grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was very kindhearted and would help anyone in need. She will be greatly miss by many.
