Billy Lewis Simmons

Billy Lewis Simmons was born in Cooper Tx on 12-15-29 and grew up in Lubbock Tx with 3 brothers. He went to meet his Heavenly Father on 5/3/2021 at 91 years of age. He was preceded in death by parents W.L. and Bessie Simmons, brother’s Tom and Les. He is survived by wife Doris, daughters Debby Allen, Kathy Johns, brother Syd, sister-in-law Dolores, 5 grandchildren, Tonya, Todd, Trent, Joshua, Jimmy, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 5 nieces and nephews. He was in the Navy from 1948-1952, serving in the Korean War. He was married 3 months prior to shipping out to Korea. He attended Texas Tech University, Baptist Bible College. He pastored churches in Tulsa Ok, Chickasha Ok, Garden Grove Ca, Puyallup Wa, T or C, NM, Vice President at Atlantic Baptist Bible College, taught at Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College. He pastored for 47 years and continued preaching for 20 years. He was married to the love of his life for 70 years. Viewing will be Tuesday May 18, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM Services will be Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Bella Vista Baptist Church in Albuquerque, graveside service will be in Santa Fe at 2:15 PM at VA cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrust to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
