"Betty" Veronica Frances Sullivan

“Betty” Veronica Frances Sullivan, age 72, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren in San Antonio, Texas on March 11, 2022. She was born in Tajique, New Mexico on March 19, 1949. She attended and graduated from Estancia High School where she was lead majorette, and voted best looking by her peers. Soon after she moved to Albuquerque to work at Beck News Agency where she was manager of the accounts receivable department. In 1971 through the love of music, Betty met the love of her life, Dwight Sullivan and they were married. Betty and Dwight had four children together Stefani, Dwight, Ronnie, and Sasha and she was blessed to gain two-step children Steve and Michelle. Betty was a devoted mother and enjoyed her life of raising her children. She was their biggest fan and supporter and with her video camera in hand; never missed a game, recital, or event. In 1994 the family was presented with an opportunity to pursue music full time, so they moved their family to San Antonio Texas to realize their dreams. Betty and Dwight’s daughter Stefani signed a Recording Contract with a global company Sony Records and the family began touring throughout the US and Mexico. Betty was the office manager, marketing director and handled merchandising for Stefani Entertainment for the past 28 years. Betty’s proudest accomplishments are caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She lovingly dedicated her life to her family. She was firmly planted in her Catholic faith and her life was a living example of Proverbs 31:10. Betty was a truly special person to all who knew her and adored by many. Known for her striking green eyes, long black hair, and natural beauty, her kind heart and sense of humor are what truly made her one of a kind. Her heart is best remembered as a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Betty was preceded in death by parents Emilio and Frances Barela, Baby Sullivan, brother Herbert Barela, and sister Emily Griego. Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dwight Sullivan; daughter Stefani Sulllivan and husband Gabriel Zavala; grandchildren Ileah and Jaylon; great grandson Saint of San Antonio, TX ; son Dwight Sullivan and wife Misty Sullivan; grandchildren Chloe, Alexis, Veronica, and Andrew of League City, TX; son Ronnie Sullivan and wife Alejandra Rischan; grandchildren Paulo, Nico, and Grey of Brookshire, TX; daughter Sasha Sullivan and Frank Reyes; grandchildren Jet and soon to come Zia of San Antonio, TX; son Steve and wife Susan Sullivan; grandchildren Lauren, Patrick, Rachel, Dana of Shanghai, China; daughter Michelle and husband Abel; grandchildren Ashley, Adrian, and Matthew; great grandchildren Kylee, Amaya, Manny, and Lou of Albuquerque, NM; brothers and sisters Raymond and wife Sarah Barela, Terry Candelaria, Ann Payton, Joe Barela, Cindy Barela, and Eva Miranda. Pallbearers are Joe Barela, Dwight Sullivan, Ronnie Sullivan, Gabriel Zavala, Ileah Zavala, Jaylen Zavala, Frank Reyes, Andrew Sullivan, Emilio Lovato, Evan Miranda, Rian Plant, and Adrian Chavez. Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Barela, Ashley Chavez, Chloe Sullivan, Alexis Sullivan, and Veronica Sullivan Funeral services will be, Saturday March 19th (Her Birthday). Rosary at 11:00 AM followed by the Mass at 12:00 PM all at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 101 S. 9th Ave, Estancias, NM 87016.Internment to follow at the Estancia Memorial Cemetery. Our family would greatly appprecite your presence and all are welcome to attend Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
