Alfred Joe Garcia

Alfred Joe Garcia 1973-1921 Alfred Joe Garcia, 48, of Moriarty, passed away December 22 in Albuquerque, at UNM Hospital. Alfred was born in Clovis NM, on August 10, 1973 to Valentin Joe Garcia and Carmen Maria Maestas. Alfred had attended Moriarty High school, Spring Valley High School in Spring Valley CA and later moved back to NM and graduated from Highland High School, Class of 1991. Following graduation Alfred worked as a Glazier 22 years up to his motorcycle accident in 2014. Alfred was very active especially in his early years. He enjoyed skate boarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, driving off road, and riding motorcycles. He was very much into music and played the guitar, bass guitar and sang. Fred recently was trying to learn to play the drums. He was an amazing artist. He really had a talent for drawing. Alfred loved spending time with family and friends. He will dearly be missed by many. Alfred is preceded in death by his grandparents, Librado and Dometillia (Gomez) Garcia, Felipe and Maria (Cordova) Maestas. Alfred is survived by his father Valentin Garcia, mother Carmen Jimenez (Ramon), Sister, Elizabeth West (Abraham), brother Michael Garcia, sister, Victoria Jimenez, brothers, Juan Jimenez (Theresa) and George Jimenez, as well as nephew, David West and nieces, Ruby West, Litzy, Lizzet, Leslie and Lily Jimenez. Funeral services will be held January 26th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty. The Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. with the Celebration of Mass to follow at 11. Burial will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty.
