Albert Chancy Rodgers, 75, of Estancia, NM passed away on June 10, 2024 in Albuquerque. He was born in Oakland, CA and graduated from Estancia High School. Chancy served in the United States Navy from 1967-1973. Chancy spent a career as a heavy equipment operator for the GCC Rio Grand cement plant in Tijeras, NM.

 

Chancy is survived by his daughters Becky and Crystal Rodgers, his grandchildren Josh and Sydney Anderson, as well as nephews and nieces, Chris and Jody Northcutt, Rocky and Jacob Woodruff, and Jamie Reeves. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Rodgers, daughter Cheryl Rodgers, and sisters Elaine Webster and Darla Woodruff. 

 

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Estancia Cemetery on June 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm, followed by a celebration of life at The American Legion in Estancia. Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM is assisting with the arrangements. 

 

Chancy was a dedicated father always providing for his children and taught them life skills to ensure they would be independent adults. He was known for his quick wit and helping those in need. 

 

Rest in peace Albert Chancy Rodgers. Your service in the Navy and dedication to your children will always be remembered.
