Albert Herman Maes

Albert Maes, 83, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born September 18, 1937 to Barbara (Dow) Maes and Cirilio Maes in Willard, NM. He served in the U.S Army in the early 60’s. He worked in Roswell as a security guard, Santa Fe for Mayflower Movers, then in 1978, moved to willard. He worked for Torrance Co. Road Dept, E.M.W. Gas, then for the Village of Willard until his retirement. He always worked hard and took pride in his work. Albert is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Eddie, Hubert, and Richard Maes, his sisters, Irene Garrison, Barbara Reinhardt, Louise Irish, and Agnes Chaves. He is also preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Maes. He is survived by his son Albert Danny Maes, ex-wife and best friend Ramona Castillo, grandchildren Bianca Gallegos (Tony), Aaron Maes (Faith), Kasandra Maes (Shiloh), Brian Maes, and Brianna Maes (Christopher). He is also survived by his two great grandsons, Alonzo Maes and Aaron Maes JR. Albert made a lot of friends during his life’s journey, He will be greatly missed by all, especially his family. There was a private family viewing and cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date.
