Meta Fay Groff

Meta Fay Groff, 82, of Veguita, NM passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. Fay was born April 14, 1925 in Luck, TX to Lonnie and Sannie Effie (Spence) Wright. Fay married Ernest Groff on March 11, 1943 who preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Oby Wright; Herbert Wright; Troy Wright; Lonnie Wright, Lee Wright, sisters, Ilene Weatherby; Florine Merick and two unnamed sisters. Fay is survived by her sons, Wes Groff and wife Liz of Veguita, NM; Larry Groff of Veguita, NM; and Jerry Groff of Peralta, NM; brother, Bill Wright; sisters, Oleta Hobbs, Laura Merick and one granddaughter Jessica. A viewing will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty, NM from 2-6 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty, NM, Elder Conway Woods will be officiating.
