Benjamin “Ben” Albino Romero, 55, of Mountainair, NM passed away Monday, March 19, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. Ben was born June 29, 1951 in Roswell, NM to Rafael and Carmen (Lopez) Romero. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jason Romero; brothers, Sotero Romero; Norman Romero; Ralph Romero; sister, Louisa Torres; and Rosemary Romero. Ben is survived by his sons, Christopher Ortiz of Santa Fe, NM; Jeremy Romero of Stockton, CA; daughter, Jessica Romero of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Max Romero; Sam Romero; Rick Romero; Robbie Romero; sisters, Lora Gallegos; Josie Torres and husband Felipe; Mary Alice Inman and husband Ernie; Fedelina Padilla and husband Mike; Shirley Romero; Lila Romero; grand daughter, Normanda Gallegos; uncle, Emiliano Lopez; 25 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 8:00 PM at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM. A Mass will be held Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM; Father Ron Stone will be officiating. Internment will follow at Mountainair Catholic Cemetery in Mountainair, NM. Pallbearers are Edward Torres, Phillip Torres, Joshua Salazar, Norman Ray Inman, Adam Padilla and Richard Torres Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Gallegos, Jason Romero, Tim Romero and Lionel Torres.
