Herman Montoya

Herman Montoya, 69, of Grants, NM passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM with his loving family beside him after a valiant struggle against prostate cancer. Herman was born June 8, 1938 in Leyba, NM to Eusebio and Tomasita (Rael) Montoya. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jose “Dino” Montoya; Ray Montoya and sister, Mary Turner. Herman is survived by his son, Dino Montoya of Moriarty, NM; brothers, Freddie Montoya of Oso Ridge, NM; Eusebio Montoya Jr. of Oso Ridge, NM; sister, Vera Marez of Oak Hill, VA and many Nieces, Nephews and Friends. A Mass will be recited on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM; Father William Young will be officiating. A Reception will follow immediately after the Mass and before the burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Michael Griego, Dillon Luna, Larry Grider, Able Sanchez, Sammy Montoya and Sifredo Sandoval. Honorary Pallbearers will be David King and Gilbert Cilley.
