Carlota G. Vigil, 90, of Torreon, NM passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. Carlota was born on October 3, 1917 to Jose and Soledad (Vigil) Garcia in Manzano, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Carlota is survived by her husband Ernesto Vigil of Torreon, NM; sons, Ernie Vigil and wife Melba of Torreon, NM; Gabriel V. Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; Dan Vigil and wife Donna of CA; Abe Vigil and wife Antoinette of Torreon, NM; daughters, Selena Lujan and husband Rosendo of Torreon, NM; Carol Chavez and husband Carmel of Albuquerque, NM; Onila Garcia and husband Mariano of Cedar Crest, NM; sister, Jessie Chavez; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 7:00 PM at San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon, NM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10:30 AM at San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon, NM; Father Vencent P. Chavez, Father Virgil, and Father Ron Stone will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Torreon Cemetery in Torreon, NM. Pallbearers are Charles Vigil, John Vigil, Matthew Lujan, David Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Donnie Chavez and Steven Chavez.
