Jean Vanaman

June 10, 1949 — December 15, 2007

Jean VanAman, 58, of Moriarty, NM passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Jean was born June 10, 1949 in Angola, IN to John and Julianna (Wegh) VanAman. She was a Headstart Teacher and a freelance journalist for the Telegraph and Citizen newspapers. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband Tom Chancey, sons Thomas F. Murphy and Shane R. Murphy, daughter Erin R. Murphy and sister Linda VanAman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to charities or non-profits working to protect the environment, researching women’s cancer issues, or promoting peace and spiritual awareness.
