Marilyn Janice Autrey

Marilyn Janice Autrey, 69, of Willard, NM, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at home with her loving family beside her. Marilyn was born January 28, 1937 in Center, CO to Hobert C. and Leota Leona (Bartee) Applegate. She married James C. Autrey on December 25, 1955 in Estancia, NM. Marilyn served as the Torrance County Treasurers office for 17 years. She also served the New Mexico Association of Counties on the Board of Directors. She was active in the First Baptist Church in Mountainair as a Sunday school teacher and was part of the choir for 50 years. Marilyn is survived by her husband, James Autrey of the home; son Randy Lee Autrey and his wife Lori Alison of Estancia, NM; daughters, Linda Rashell Kayser and her husband Gary of Mountainair, NM, Carolyn Fay Barncastle and her husband Philip of Las Cruces, NM, and Sharolyn Kay Johnson and her husband Doug of Fort Sumner, NM; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. All that knew and loved Marilyn will miss her. There will be a Viewing on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair, NM from 2:00 – 6:30 PM. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Mountainair, NM at 2:00 PM. Marilyn’s cousin, David Keiry will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bartee, Garyn Anaya, Jan Klecker, Gary Klecker, Mike Reiloski, Paul Kayser, Eric Anaya, and James Barncastle. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Barncastle, Doug Johnson, Gary Kayser, A.B. McKinley, and Earl Burns. Interment will follow at the Mountainair Cemetery in Mountainair, NM.
