Arthur Dee Formwalt

Arthur (A.D.) Dee Formwalt, 96, of Lucy, NM passed away on Monday, November 3, 2008 at home with his loving family beside him. A.D. was born on April 28, 1912 to William Whitaker and Maud Rosalee (Medley) Formwalt in Alanreed, TX, then moved to Lucy, NM in 1930. A.D. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosa Mae (Bailey) Formwalt; and son, Dale Formwalt. He is survived by daughters, Gwen Groff and husband Lee; Betty Cady and husband Jerry; son, Fred Formwalt and wife Renette; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 9:00-10:00AM at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. Funeral Services will be held after the viewing at 11:00 AM at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary. Interment will follow at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM. Pastor Doris Jaquess will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Dickerman, Jack Sales, Jerry Formwalt, Jimmy McMath, Alton Tindell and Bill D’spain. Honorary pallbearers will be Karl and Coley Barner. We would like to thank Richard Moya and everyone at Lakeview Manor for the tender, loving care they gave to our dad the past 9 months of his life.
