Elisa Guadalupe Barela, 43, of Tajique, NM passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. Elisa was born on May 20, 1965 in Albuquerque, NM to Juan and Corrine (Aragon) Lucero. Elisa was a life time resident of this area and was a member of the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. Elisa married Michael Anthony Barela on August 7, 1982 in Torreon, NM. Elisa was preceded in death by her brother, Luis Lucero. She is survived by her parents, Juan & Corrine Lucero of Torreon, NM; husband, Michael Barela of Tajique, NM; son, Michael Barela Jr; daughters, Veronica Barela; Elizabeth Sisneroz and husband Jason; Christina Gonzales and husband Luis; Angelica Barela, all of Tajique, NM; brothers, Juan Lucero Jr; Jesus Lucero; Jose Lucero; Francisco Lucero; Lorenzo Lucero; Martin Lucero; sisters, Bonnie Webster; Maria Esquibel; Lola Chavez; Elena Gatzios; Rosalinda Vogel; and 2 grandchildren. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 7:00PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Torreon. A Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 17, 2008 at 10:00AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Torreon. Father Jose Lucero will be officiating. Interment will follow at La Divina Providencia. Pallbearers will be her brothers, Juan Lucero Jr, Jesus Lucero, Jose Lucero, Francisco Lucero, Lorenzo Lucero and Martin Lucero.
