J. W. Anglin

J. W. Anglin, 89, of Mountainair, NM passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. J. W. was born on September 25, 1919 in Gran Quivira, NM to Nathaniel and Lillie (Fulfer) Anglin. He was a lifelong resident of Mountainair, NM. He married Sarah E. Johnson in Estancia, NM on June 29, 1940. J.W. is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Catherine Riley, who passed away in 1994, and three grandchildren, Kenneth, Tina and Wesley. He is survived by sons, Vance and his wife Lupe Anglin of Las Cruces, NM, Johnny and his wife Jeannie Anglin of Cuchillo, NM, Dennis and his wife Kathy Anglin of Mountainair, NM; daughters, Quinna and her husband John L. Stephens of Los Chavez, NM, Donna and her husband Mike Patterson of Edgewood, NM, Marion and her husband Ivan Riley of Mountainair, NM; sister; Yvonne Smith, of Mountainair, NM; twenty-two grandchildren; and forty-seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 10:00AM at Assembly of God Church in Mountainair, NM with Bill Sullenger and Doris Jaquess officiating. Pallbearers are J. W.’s grandsons; Bruce Anglin, Kevin Anglin, Randy Riley, Leland Riley, Larry Stephens, Mike Thomas, Jody Anglin, and Frank Riley. Honorary Pallbearers are all of J. W.’s friends and neighbors.
