Daphne Aileen Briles

Daphne Aileen Briles, 90, of Moriarty, NM passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM with her loving family beside her. Daphne was born on January 7, 1918 in Backus, Minnesota to William Harry and Carrie (Robinette) Elyea. Daphne moved here 4 ½ months ago from Grand Prarie, TX formerly of Minnesota. Daphne taught for many, many years for several different schools. She was a member of the Maplewood Evangelical Covenant Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Daphne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Briles; daughter, Geraldine Diehl; 4 bothers, and 1 sister. She is survived by her son, Robert Diehl and Carol Charlotte of Moriarty, NM; brothers, Robert Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on December 29, 2008 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pastor David Wester will be officiating.
