Bonnie Fay Harris

Bonnie Fay Harris, 61, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2005 after a battle with cancer. She was born on May 23, 1944 to Robert and Goldie McMath of Estancia. Bonnie was raised in Estancia and graduated from Estancia High School. She attended the New Mexico State Police Academy in 1991 to train as a Police Dispatcher. She worked for Torrance County Sheriff’s Office, Los Alamos Police Department, and Bernalillo Sheriff’s Office. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Bonnie had also taken the Wilton Cake Decorating classes, and was an accomplished cake decorator, something she enjoyed doing. Bonnie is survived by two children, a son, Robert Prichard of Estancia; and a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Bradfute of Olton, TX. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Candice Prichard pf Enid, OK, Chelsi, Austin, and Shelton Bradfute of Olton, TX, and Tanner Prichard of Estancia, NM. She is also survived by her mother, Goldie McMath; two brothers, Bobby and his wife Bonnie McMath of Estancia, NM, and Jimmy and his wife Dena McMath of Lucy, NM; one sister, Carolyn and her husband Stan Davis of Estancia, NM; ten nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces, and nephews; and a host of aunts; uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kasey Jo DeMarco; her father, Robert McMath; a nephew, Wade Allen McMath; and a great-nephew, Wesley Calhoon. Funeral Services will be held at The First Baptist Church of Estancia on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Pastor Brian McMath will be officiating, and Eugene Ness assisting. Pallbearers are the nephews of Bonnie, which are Jace McMath, Matthew Davis, Brady Ness, Stevie Ness, Andrew McMath, and Scott McMath. Interment will be at the Estancia Cemetery.
