Kathryn Marian Asher

Kathryn M. Asher, 94, of Edgewood, NM, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM with her loving family beside her. Kathryn was born on February 18, 1911 to Fred and Ermina (Crowley) Smith in Alturas, CA. She married Leroy D. Asher on January 4, 1936 in Reno, NV. They moved to Dunsmuir, CA in 1937 where they lived until 1992. She lived in Edgewood, NM for the past 13 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Ardeth and Abel McDuffie. Kathryn was a member of the Eastern Star in Dunsmuir, CA for 50 years before moving to New Mexico. She is survived by her daughter, Ardeth and her husband, Abel; granddaughters, Kathe McLaughlin and her family; and Beth Day and her family; as well as six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Leroy, preceded her in death. There will be a Viewing on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the East Mountain Assembly of God Church in Moriarty, NM from 1:30 to 2:30 PM and on Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta, CA from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta, CA on Tuesday, December 123, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Mount Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta, CA.
