Jessie Arila Horton

Jessie Arila Horton, 85, of Mountainair, NM, passed away Friday, August 5, 2005 at home with her loving family beside her. Jessie was born June 20, 1920 in Eldorado, AR to Benford and Elsie (Hill) Little. She married Ralph Horton May 26, 1937 in Linden, TX. They moved to Albuquerque, NM and lived there 25 years before moving to Mountainair, NM. Jessie is survived by her children, Delores Crabb and her husband Raymond of Sumner Lake, NM, Richard Horton and his wife Barbara, and Shirley Solomon and her husband James both from Ewing, NM; sisters, Elsie Little, and Mollie Morgan of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jerry Crabb and his wife Victoria of Sumner Lake, NM, Torrance Norsworthy and his wife Patricia of Portland, OR, Bill Norsworthy and his wife Kelly of Albuquerque, NM, Newton Norsworthy of Edgewood, NM, Ricky Crabb and his wife Raylene of Moriarty, NM, Patricia Sullivan of Hot Springs, AR, Richard Horton, Jr. of Edgewood, NM, Spring Horton, Ewing, NM, Lydia Merck and her husband David of Ewing, NM, Brian Crider and his wife Judy of Estancia, NM, Barbara Collins and her husband James of Ewing, NM, Cynthia Solomon of Estancia, NM, and James Solomon and his wife Hope of Ewing, NM; 25 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benford and Elsie Little; her husband Ralph Horton; brothers, JB, Raymond, and Walter Little; and one great-great-granddaughter, Brandi Crider. Jessie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair, NM at 5:00 PM.
