Elwood Gwaltney

Elwood “Buck” Gwaltney, 83, of Moriarty, NM passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. Elwood was born on May 14, 1925 to Aaron Austin and Lilly Myrtle (Burton) Gwaltney in Hoxie, Arkansas. Elwood was a resident of Moriarty coming from Arkansas in 1959. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Mickey Lynn and Jerry Austin Gwaltney; daughter, Rhonda Jean Gwaltney; grandson, Zachary David Harlow; brothers, Carl C. and Roscoe Lee Gwaltney; and sister, Alberta Fochtman. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Felia; sons, Ricky Wayne and his wife, Marlene, Gary Lee and his wife Teresa, and Randy Lee Gwaltney; daughters Lilly Roseanna Bailey and her husband Erick; and sister-in-law, Patsy Gwaltney; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Service will be on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2:00PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
