Joan Linda Thompson

Joan Linda Thompson, 52, of Moriarty, NM passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM with her loving family beside her. Joan was born on April 9, 1956 in New Bedford, MA to Thomas and Patricia (Belong) Brightman. Joan was a foster mother, CNA, and a detentions officer for Kern County Sheriffs Department. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Patricia Brightman. She is survived by her husband, Steven Thompson of Moriarty, NM; daughter, Monica Rae Cervantes and husband Willie of Bakersfield, CA; 2 step-daughters, Amber Berger; Melodie Bruhn and husband Bret, both of Portland, OR; sisters, Mary Pereira of Moriarty, NM; Karen Almeida of MA; and 10 grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 11:00AM-2:00PM at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Cremation will follow.
