Walter Elvin Nielsen

Walter Elvin Nielsen, 83, of Clovis, NM passed away in Clovis, NM on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Walter was born on March 24, 1926 in Fresno, CA to Alfred and Johanna Nielsen. Walter had resided in Clovis, NM since 2005, having previously lived in Ft. Sumner, NM. He married his wife of 60 years, Jessie Jones, in Fresno CA on March 24, 1949. He was a member of the American Legion. Walter is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marie Enos and Ruth Hayes. He is survived by his wife Jessie Nielsen of Clovis, NM; sister, Dorothy Collins; our niece, Debbie Smith, whom we raised after her mothers death; and numerous other nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10:00AM with Chaplin Vaughn Gossman officiating.
