Emigdio “Sam” Garciga, 73, of Moriarty, NM passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at his home. Emigdio was born June 5, 1935 in Guanabacoa, Cuba to Pablo and Hortensia Zenea. Emigdio lived in Moriarty for the past 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Aletha Gobble; three sons, Emgidio Jr., John Paul, and Hector Garciga; three daughters, Elizabeth Bowman, Emily Barker and Migdalia Quinn; twenty grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
