Edith “Edie” Marie Williams, 83, of Albuquerque, NM, peacefully joined our Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Monday, February 09, 2009. Edie was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on September 18, 1925 to Warner and Jewel (Davis) Moss. Edie was a previous member of the Elks Club and retired from the A.E.C./D.O.E. in 1982. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Most of all she loved her family. She never missed a birthday, anniversary, graduation or holiday. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Henry Burns; son, James D. Burns; and three brothers, James, Glenn, and Kenneth Ray Moss. She is survived by her husband, Joe Preston Williams, of Albuquerque, NM, who she married on December 29, 1960 and remained side by side for 48 years; son, Warner Lewis “Lou” Burns and his wife Colleen of McIntosh, NM; daughter, Bobbie L Harrell and her husband Dale of Axson, GA; sisters, June Neal, Bonita Hankins, Sue Williams, Pat Mosley and Linda Wyles; special friend of 59 years, Kitty Wilson, twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing for Edie at 9:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2009 followed by the service at 10:00AM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 1:30PM. Pallbearers will be Samuel Lewis Burns, Shaun Patrick Burns, Shawn Robert Thompson, George Powell, George Tachick, and James Burns Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Windie Burns, Brandee Burns, Benji Burns, Rocky Burns, Jamee Burns, Lewis Harrell, Deborah Dockery and John Harrell.
