William Cecil Autrey

William “Cecil” Autrey, 88, a life time resident of Mountainair, NM passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. Cecil was born on July 29, 1920, in Mountainair, NM to James Clinton and Maple Elizabeth (Witcher) Autrey. Cecil proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. Cecil will be remembered as a rancher, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his brother Charles Leroy Autrey and his wife, Sharon; four nephews, Dean Autrey and his wife Chris, James Autrey, Leon Autrey and his wife Darla, and Delbert Autrey and his wife Marie; and niece, Debbie Kuykendell and her husband, Allen. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alfred Autrey and his wife Marie, and Pete Autrey; nephew, Gary Don Autrey; niece, Marlyn Autrey; and great nephew Cody Autrey. Cecil will lie in state at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. A funeral service will be held at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 2:00PM, followed by the burial at the Mountainair Cemetery with Gary Lee Watts and Richard Spencer officiating. Pallbearers will be Travis Autrey, Randy Autrey, Larry Autrey, Jimmy Autrey, Eppy Paez, and Paul McKinley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Orvil Watts, Earl Burns, Earl Jones, Jack Hewett, A B McKinley, Mitch McKinley, Dean Autrey and Carl Elkins
