Luther Thomas Wade

Luther “Luke” Thomas Wade, 81, of Los Lunas, NM passed away on September 6, 2008 in West Palm Beach, FL while vacationing with his family. Luke was born on January 24, 1927 in Rochester, TX to Charlie Anderson and Ida F. (May) Wade .Luke loved many things including; family gatherings, dancing, playing domino games such as 42, and the Arizona Diamond Backs Baseball Team. Luke loved God, his family and friends and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Belen, NM. He retired after 26 years from The New Mexico State Highway Department, District 3 as the Maintenance Superintendent. Then he became a consultant for E.L.F Asphalt for 8 years. Luke was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn Wade; brother, Jestus Wade; sister, Ruth “Polly” Smart; grandsons, Darrel Wade; Jeff Williams; and great grandson, Travis Boliver. He is survived by son, Mike Wade and wife Angela; daughters, Freida Boliver and husband Calvin; Judy Greer and husband Joe; Ruth Dempsey and husband Harry; Joyce Williams and husband Ronnie; Vicki Porter and husband Bobby; Diane Davis and husband Buddy; 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church in Belen, NM. Pastor Ray Wells and Pastor Greg MacPherson will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Claunch Cemetery at 3:00 PM in Claunch, NM. Pallbearers will be Sons-in-law Calvin Boliver, Joe Greer, Harry Dempsey, Ronnie Williams, Bobby Porter, and Buddy Davis.
