Joyce Torres-Valdez

Joyce Torres-Valdez, 50, formerly of Tomas Street in Albuquerque passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 of a brain aneurism. Joyce was a beautiful spirit who loved her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her dad Gilbert Torres and is survived by her mom, Ursula Torres; her husband Rick Valdez; two sons, Victor Marquez and his wife Crystal and grandsons, Elijah Victor III, Ivan Marquez and his wife, Magen and their daughters, Anaise Estrella, Deliyah and Monet. Joyce is also survived by three sisters, Rosemary Marquez, Karen Baca and her husband Adam, Michelle Roybal and her husband Joseph along with nieces, Beverly Marquez, Merlinda Martinez, Renee Baca, Christine Baca, Amanda Roybal and nephews Joseph Baca and Matthew Roybal. Joyce was loved by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. Services are being handled by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM and are as follows: Rosary on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Manzano, NM. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Manzano, NM. Burial will immediately follow the Mass in the church grounds. Joyce was kind and loving and will be missed by all who knew her
