Helen Patricia "Pat" Robertson

Helen “Pat” Patricia Robertson, 77, of Moriarty, NM, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009 at her home with her loving family beside her. Pat was born on October 25, 1931 in Hazleton, PA, to Augusta “Gus” and Mary (Marley) Berlitz. Pat lived in Moriarty, NM since October of 1994 coming from Tucson, AZ. Pat was a lifetime member of the VFW Ike Cole Post 3370 where she served as commander. She was also a life time member of the Ladies Aux. were she served as president. She served in the Army, during the Korea War, and the Occupation of Japan. She taught English as a foreign language in Taiwan, Vietnam and Okinawa. Pat was a Moriarty ROTC strong supporter and was involved and a strong supporter of the McIntosh Community Center. Pat and WT’s home was always open to children and they too are a part of our extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Mary Berlitz; daughters, Patty L. Wimsatt and Kathy Evans; and stepfather, Doc Kaeppel. She is survived by her husband, W. T. Robertson of Moriarty, NM; son, DeWayne T. Robertson and his wife Tori, of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Robin T. Heathman and her husband, Don, of Booneville, AR.; brothers, Fred Kaeppel and Chris Kaeppel; sister, Donna Collins, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of your choice in the name of Pat Robertson.
