Eldyn Gillmer

Eldyn Ray Gillmer, 64, of Edgewood, NM passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. Eldyn was born on January 31, 1945 in Olean, NY to Charles and Gladys (VanGilder) Gillmer. Eldyn was a resident of Edgewood for 29 years. He worked at Tillery Chevrolet for 16 years as Parts and Service Director. He also worked at Saturn of Santa Fe and Saturn of Albuquerque for one year. He was a member of the Planning and Zoning Board of Edgewood. He retired in September of 2008. Eldyn is preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Joyce Gillmer. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Gillmer of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Stacy Sonchar and her husband Curtis of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Fred Gillmer and his wife Sherry of Tucson, AZ, and George Gillmer of Allegany, NY; sisters, Leona Dailey of Cortland, NY and Lousie Croft and her husband Jack of Olean, NY; three grandchildren, Adrian Matthew Sonchar, Kaila Ann Sonchar, Todd Christopher Sonchar; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at the Mountainside Church of Christ in Albuquerque, NM on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 7:00PM, In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
