Dr. John Raymond Morgart was born September 7, 1951, in Windber, Pennsylvania. He passed into eternal life October 14, 2009, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a hard fought battle with cancer. John was the son of William Raymond Morgart and Fleta Suter Morgart. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Elizabeth Dalton Morgart; his son, William Raymond and his daughter, Jonnie Rebecca. He is also survived by his mother, Fleta, and his brothers, James William (Brenda) and Jeffrey Sewell (Ruth), and his sister, Janis Kay, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Jerry Mark Morgart. John received his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree at Arizona State University followed by his PHD at the University of Arizona. John spent more than 30 years employed by various agencies within the Department of the Interior, but his greatest love was his time of employment with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He touched countless lives and he will be missed. At John’s request a small family service will be held in Logan, Utah. A celebration of life service will be held in Edgewood, New Mexico, on a future date.
