Manuel Sandoval, 46, of Stanley, NM, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM, with his loving family beside him. Manuel was born in Santa Fe, NM on July 17, 1962 to Rudy and Cecilia (Baca) Sandoval. Manuel was a life time resident of Stanley, NM. Manuel married Melanie Dawn Hiner in Moriarty, NM on July 18, 1987. Manuel was employed with Moriarty Municipal Schools for 23 years, where he was a teacher, coach and administrator. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha, the New Mexico High School Coaches Association and the St. Joseph Society. He attended Eastern New Mexico University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Education. He later received a Masters in Administration at Highlands University. Manuel was a member of the Nuestra Senora de Los Remedios Catholic Church in Galisteo. He is survived by his loving parents, Rudy and Cecilia Sandoval; wife, Melanie (Hiner); daughter, Megan; and son, Manny, all of Stanley, NM; brothers, Danny, his wife Yvette and their children Dominic, Derrick, Amber and Savannah; Thomas, his wife Katie and their children Mark and Austin of Spring, TX; sister Martha Smith, her husband Greg and their children, Shandra, Rheanna, Kristin and Kendra of Stanley. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the Moriarty Civic Center in Moriarty, NM. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Moriarty Civic Center in Moriarty, NM with Fr. Jonas Romea officiating. Interment will follow the Mass at the Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, NM. Pallbearers will be Tim Flores, Joe Bailey, Ken Chancellor, Alan Chancellor, Dave Latham, Robert Adams, John Ruben, and Greg Hebert. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty, NM or to the Memorial Scholarship Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, in Moriarty, in his name.
