Ernest Jake Perea

Ernest Jake Perea, 43, of Cedar Grove, NM passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2010 in Shiprock, NM. Ernest was born on May 17, 1966 in Albuquerque, NM to Jake and Reyes (Larrañaga) Perea. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Edgewood, NM. Ernest is survived by his parents, Jake and Reyes Perea of Cedar Grove; sons, Ernesto J. Perea of Albuquerque, and Robert J. Perea of Cedar Grove; grandmother, Flora Vigil of Santa Fe; brothers, Joseph E. Perea and his wife Christina, and their children Noah and Alina of Chantilly, VA; sister, Judith E. Rivera and her husband Robert and their children, John, ReyAnn and Jacob of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. There will be a Rosary on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Edgewood, NM. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Edgewood, NM. Msgr. Richard Olona and Rev. William will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection. Pallbearers will be Ernest Perea, Phillip Larrañaga, Albert Michael Thomas, Edward Larrañaga, Arnold Murphy, Alan Larrañaga, Mark Larrañaga, Neil Villanueva. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Valasquez, Steve and Robert Ortiz, James Lyons, Art Tapia, Delbert and Joey Garcia, Phillip and Mark Jaramillo, Brian Archibeque, Andy Larrañaga, Greg Smith, Dean and Matthew Larrañaga, Greg and Jerome Marez, Eric and Ernest Perea, Chris Duran, Max Louis Lopez, Roy Glenn and Justin Gibson, and All of EJ’s cousins and friends. Burial ceremonies will be held at the Larrañaga cemetery at Red Hills.
