Pauline Thomas

Pauline Thomas, 91, of McIntosh, NM, passed away April 12, 2006 in Silver City, NM. Pauline was born April 25, 1914 in McIntosh, NM to Garrett Saddler Gates and Anna Pearl Collins Gates. Pauline married Cecil William Thomas on December 21, 1934. Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Estancia; Pauline retired as county supervisor of Torrance County Health and Human Services Department in 1977. Pauline is survived by sons, Gayland Thomas of Silver City, NM; Gary and wife Jane (VanScoyk) Thomas of McIntosh, NM; daughters, Kathy Thomas of Silver City, NM; Beth and husband Ronnie Blackwell of Checotah, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents Garrett and Anna Gates, two brothers, three sisters, husband Cecil Thomas in 1973, and granddaughter Tina Sue Thomas. There will be a viewing Friday, April 14, 2006 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair, NM. A Funeral is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Estancia, NM. Frank Rippetoe will be officiating. Pallbears will be Bret Riley, Mike Thomas, Mark Blackwell, Jerry Peer, Tom Perkins, and Richard Griffin. Honorary Pallbears will be Bill D’spain, Charlie Ward, Bill Clements, Carlos Lopez, A H Sutherland, Donald Hibner, Bill Riggs, JR Noblitt, and Kenneth Lujan. Internment will take place at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM.
