Katherine T. Ford

Katherine T. Ford, 80, of Moriarty, NM passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Katherine was born in Jemez Pueblo, NM on November 7, 1929 to Jose R. and Jeronima (Cajero) Toya. She married her husband of 53 years, Joe F. Ford, in San Diego, CA on February 9, 1957. They had two sons, Joseph M. and Thomas W. Ford. Katherine and Joe have lived in Moriarty for the past 23 years, having previously lived in Chula Vista, CA. Katherine was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in the Estancia Valley Catholic Parish. She was a member of the VFW Post 401 Ladies Aux. and MOCA PUP Tent #7. She was in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Jeronima Toya. She is survived by her husband, Joe F. Ford of Moriarty, NM; two sons, Joseph M. Ford and his wife Lorie of Alpine CA, and Thomas W. Ford of Hobbs, NM; brother Fred Toya and his wife Inez of Jemez, NM; sister, Mary Jo Armijo of Jemez, NM; one grandchild Haley Ford; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Rosary recited at 9:00am followed by the Mass at 10:00am on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM with Rev. William Young officiating. Pallbearers were Gary Toya, Joseph Ford, Thomas Ford, David Bradley, Aaron Cajero, Greg Toya and John Toya Jr. Burial will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 3:00PM on Monday, March 22, 2010.
