Elmer Graham Schalles

Elmer Graham Schalles, 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at his home in Mountainair, NM. Elmer was born February 10, 1931 in Durango, CO to Frank Elmer and Agnes (Graham) Schalles. Elmer married Wana Beth Fox on January 5, 1985 in Rio Rancho, NM. He lived in Mountainair for the past 15 years having previously lived in Rio Rancho, NM. Elmer was a deacon of the Baptist Church. He was a licensed electrician, plumber, gasman, gunsmith, and pilot. He was a welder, machinist, pipe fitter, life long member of NRA, and rifle and pistol marksman. He was an inventor and a scientist. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Dana Vickrey Wildman. He is survived by his sons Dennis Graham and Mary Ann Schalles of TN, Francis Troy Schalles of TX, Timothy Dean and Cindy Schalles of CO, Allen Neal and Janet Vickrey of CO; Dean Everett and Ramona Vickrey of Albuquerque, NM, Charles Lestor and Sharon Vickrey of Bernalillo, NM, and Bruce Wildman of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Ginger and Bill Casey of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Agnes Ellis of Albuquerque, NM; eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Mountainair, NM. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Salvation Army.
