William Augustus Lothrop

William Augustus Lothrop, 73, of Edgewood, NM, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2006 at his home. William was born June 19, 1932 in Portland, OR to William and LoraNita (Balcom) Lothrop. William proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. William was a marksman, ranking 12th in the nation, and 3rd in his class; was a member of National Rifle Association; raced motocross in the Old Timer’s division, and was one of the founding members of that division; and was also a retired member of Lodge 1546 of the Machinist & Aerospace Workers. William is survived by his sons, William Lothrop, III of Norfolk, VA, Troy Lothrop of Mantica, CA, and Johnny Lothrop of Castro Valley, CA; daughter, Teresa Livengood of Portland, OR; step-daughter, Tosha Carbin of OR; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lora Mita Lothrop; and a brother, David Lothrop. All that knew and loved William will miss him. There will be a Memorial Service for William on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 6:00 PM at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair, NM.
