Edward M. Garcia

Edward M. Garcia, 52, of Willard, NM, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. Edward was born October 14, 1953 in Clovis, NM to Rafael and Dulcinia (Marez) Garcia. Edward was a published poet; accomplished guitarist; excelled in gymnastics in school; and was on the Dean’s List while attending Clovis Community College in Clovis, NM. Edward is survived by his daughter, Melissa of Portales, NM; father Rafael Garcia of Willard, NM; brothers, Ambrosio Garcia and his wife Maggie of Albuquerque, NM, Ernest Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, and Albert Padilla and his wife Brenda of Estancia, NM; sister, Lucinda Padilla and her husband George of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Abelito, Seth, Ian, and T.J.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. His mother, Dulcinia Garcia preceded him in death on September 25, 2004. Edward will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard, NM. Father Ron Stone will be officiating.
